About me
My name is Justina Kaupas. I was born in 1990 in Panevėžys. Art and creativity interested and attracted me since childhood, because I had a talented father who loved to paint. While still at school, I chose to take an art exam, where I achieved extremely high evaluation scores with my original work "Caravans". A few years later, I took the exams to the Vilnius Academy of Arts, but due to certain circumstances, I took a different path and gave up my dream of studying graphic design. Nevertheless, I did not forget my love for painting and arts and crafts, and often sat down in front of the canvas. Most of the paintings now decorates the homes of my friends and loved ones. I also create handmade Christmas decorations in my free time, you can see them on the Facebook page "Jauku Decor".
My paintings are about emotions, experiences, personalities that I meet and see every day. About how we feel and what we are daily. Most experiences are personal. All that we experience emotionally does not actually come from the heart, but lives in our mind. Therefore, it is reflected in the hair of the women who live in my paintings. Why do I only draw women? Probably because I understand and feel them much better than men :)
All the paintings I create are born slowly, because each art work for me must be felt and experienced personally, and it takes time. Mixed technique, acrylic paints are used, and a relief surface is often created so that the work can not only be seen but also "touched"..
